What A Weekend

Oh  man. We had such a busy weekend!
It started with the 4th of July. We were pretty lazy most of the day waiting for my dad and his girlfriend to arrive from Washington. They were staying until Sunday. We didn't make many plans for the 4th due to the hot weather, us going on a big trip the following week, and the long drive my dad and Patti were making the day of. We ended up venturing the 3 blocks to Aaron's parents house to have a little BBQ and hang out. It ended up being the perfect weather! The sun went away and there was a light breeze and it was just warm enough. Brinnley played in her little roller thing outside while we all sat around and chatted. The boys lit fireworks off when it got dark and Brinnley loved them! She loves bright and shiny things. She ended up not going to sleep until 11:30pm!! Man, it was a long night.

The next day we met my dad and Patti at The Egg Factory for some breakfast and then I suggested we go play some putt putt. My dad and Patti are avid golfers and I always love to try and beat my dad at anything related to golf so putt putt was a perfect opportunity! We played the spinners for every other hole and had a good time making fun of everyone. Oh, did I mention that I won! :) Brinnley hung out in her stroller playing with her new friend, Sophie the giraffee!

After we were done we got inside to cool off and chat. Brinnley was the star of the day, as usual!

After we all got some much needed rest we met them up at the hotel so Brinnley could try swimming for the first time! She absolutely loved it and had a blast. She kicked her legs and splashed her arms around the whole time! She was having such a fun time and we were laughing at how much she would splash herself in the face, sigh, then do it again!!

We ended the day with dinner at Pizza Hut. Saturday, Brinnley and I recovered with plenty of naps while my dad and Patti played a few rounds of golf and Aaron worked. We met up for dinner at Red Robin and some grandpa and Brinnley time at the hotel. On Sunday, Brinnley and I started getting ready for our big trip and even visited Aaron at work! Brinnley lights up when she sees her dad and my heart melts each time.
She is such a happy baby.
