Sunday Stories: 4th of July edition

As we did last year, we headed over to the Bauer's house in Ontario yesterday to celebrate the 4th of July. It's Aaron's favorite holiday and he's been buying and setting off fireworks all week. He's gotten Brinnley hooked a well - she loves the Poppers and especially enjoys throwing them and then stepping on them also. It's adorable. There were enough people there where Aaron and I really didn't have to worry about Brinnley the whole afternoon/evening. Not saying we weren't watching her - but she was always with someone else. She hardly even was with Aaron or myself.

The evening was spent eating, chatting, and just hanging out. I was worried that my nausea would be an issue but with everything going on - it wasn't! I think with me moving around, although I sat for a good portion of the night, and the change of scenery it helped a lot. I laid down for a few minutes at one point, but it wasn't bad. The guys had a blast and we only had a few mishaps! Somehow, a firework got turned upside down when it was lit and it started shooting everywhere! It shot towards the cars and even busted off the license plate of Grandpa Gary's new Kia! Nobody was hurt, but Grandpa was mad, and the more mad he got the more everyone laughed!
All in all - it was a blast! It was great to be there for Wyatt's farewell since he is leaving for his Mission in a few days!!

Last Wednesday, we went to the doctor's for our very quick 12 week appointment. We chatted a bit more about my c-section decision and the date so he could pencil it in, and then we listened to the heartbeat! Aaron wasn't able to be at Brinnley's appointments during my pregnancy with her so he was super excited to be there for this one. Hopefully, we can plan it so he can come to a lot more! Only about 8 more weeks until we find out what we are having! :)
