Workouts!

I have been having a blast with my workouts from ToneItUp.com. I have been using my Polar Loop to track obviously, and can really see how much more active I have been throughout the last few weeks. I am currently on Week 5 (just coming to an end) and get so excited each Sunday to see the new workout schedule! I have had to modify a few things, but that's normal because of my wacky schedule sometimes and the fact that I am a mother and a wife first.
Last week, we had field day. I organized THE WHOLE DANG THING. I was so proud of myself for how much fun the students had and how much praise I got from the teachers - everyone had a blast! There were 10 different stations and we just rotated through all of them all morning. I participated with my students at each one - we even wrote our names in one of the circles on the playground - and yes, it is still there! We had a jump rope station and man, old memories come back! I ended up reaching my daily goal before I even left school that day because of how active I was during field day. I can't wait until next year when I can have a little more time to plan it!
With my Polar Loop - it can track my activity daily, weekly, and monthly. I haven't had it long enough for it to tell me how I am doing for the month - but you can see how much more active I have been getting. The first week was a little short since I started mid week - and the last week I still had 2 more days to get active! Overall, since I have had my Loop - I have taken about 96 miles worth of steps! I do have to say that it isn't the most accurate, especially when I am running outside - I tend to not move my arms when I am running/jogging, so the wrist movement does not count some of the time! Oh well - I have my app on my phone to help keep track of miles when I do go for runs!

Last Sunday - the workout for the day was to go for a 5 mile run. I was planning on taking Brinnley out to the greenbelt and run/jog/walk with the jogger stroller. What I wasn't expecting was to get up a little earlier with Aaron and Brinnley and just want to go run. Thankfully, I had just enough time before Aaron had to go to work to go for my run. I can not remember the last time, or EVER, that I have gone out for a run - let alone to run 5 miles, JUST BECAUSE. I always ran, always - but it was on a soccer field, and for a purpose. I used to run miles and miles each day, but I never kept track because I never had a reason for!
Right now - I am at 60 miles out of the 100 I need to get to by June 21st! I am so close and SO proud of myself for sticking through this!

I can't wait to start my training for my half marathon in October - yes, you heard me, a HALF MARATHON! I am going to take my time to really train for 16 weeks starting the day after the Bikini Series ends so I can really enjoy the 13.1 miles. :)
