Then - I remembered finding something online this summer - FitnessBlender.com (I am in no way getting reimbursed for this - this is my own personal opinion in every way). I was blown away by the possibilities this website gave me. I bought their eBook for eating well during the summer and tried it - it was hard for me because it called for a lot of food I wasn't a fan of so that fizzled.
I did their workouts every so often once I realized that ToneItUp just wasn't cutting it - their workouts were puny compared to FitnessBlender. Most recently, I bought their eBook for the 8 week program for busy people (*only $10 bucks!). The workouts are 30 minutes or less and they just guide you to their FREE workout videos on their FREE website to bring you through a program for 8 weeks. I have done strength training, HIIT - high intensity interval training - (which I LOVE), abs, and just a variety of workouts to keep me on my toes. I have continued through the program now for over 2 weeks. I love that I can turn on Netflix - Grey's Anatomy is my show of choice, click on the video that I need to complete for the day and get to work!
After I stopped running, I stopped tracking my steps and such with my PolarLoop - now I am getting back into the groove of things. When I was running, I hit my goal everyday just about! Now, I haven't been able to quite yet, but I am getting my steps in.
Today - I had to leave my class for an hour for a meeting at the high school. Instead of driving, I just walked. Then, I had to walk back. I also didn't sit down for lunch, I worked through lunch for the first time all school year. I just wanted to get things done. Then I just had to keep walking to the office and workroom all day and after school - lucky me I am the furthest classroom from both of them.
It's only 5pm and I haven't even worked out today, and I have a HIIT workout to complete so I just may be able to reach my goal if I stay up and get some things done around the house. Or at least get close - the average goal an average person should have a day for steps is 10,000 - I'll just keep on passing that by each day! I love to be active and can't wait to get back out and run. We sold my treadmill so I have no excuses now - I even got some cold weather pants to wear!
I decided to purchase this 8 week program the week of Thanksgiving - I didn't want to wait another second. I didn't want to wait until January to start my goals for the new year, I started early so I could establish a habit and not be worried about sticking with it or not. It has become a routine and something I naturally look forward to doing! I have noticed a change in my awareness and how awake I am throughout the day! I love the feeling.
